For the self-driving traveller that is keen for throwing caution to the wind and would like to conduct their experience alone, we salute you.

One of the challenges often faced in southern Africa is the size and distance it can take to get from one destination to the next. We offer two locations closely situated to reserve accesses.

One location is based in Whiteriver where the Paul Kruger gate of the Kruger National Park is in proximity so if needs be one could stay just outside the park after a long day travelling from Johannesburg international airport to get ready for your safari adventure at first light. This location offers guided day trips into the national park; however you are welcome to be left to your own demise and head into the wilderness alone, this is a great way to explore the park from south northwards as you make your way to the next destination in and or around the Kruger national park.

The second location has been incorporated into the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve which is a private unfenced reserve to the Kruger national park. This location is roughly 40min drive from orpen gate and is a great central location in case one needs to restock from our local town called Hoedspruit or if you need to get closer to your next destination before gate closing times become a limiting factor for your safari experience. From here we can offer a sundowner drive or one could enjoy making your own fire and being serenaded by the nocturnal sounds that become all to common once the sun sets.
