Imagine waking up to the sounds of the African bush, with only a canvas tent separating you from the wild. This was our reality on a recent Outlaw Safari adventure that took us deep into the heart of the Kruger National Park.
Our journey began with a thrilling helicopter flight over the majestic Blyde Dam and the surrounding mountains. One morning, we were lucky enough to witness a pride of lions hunting a buffalo, a thrilling spectacle that we’ll never forget.
One of the highlights of our trip was a guided bush walk. Our experienced guide led us through the dense bush, pointing out tracks, bird nests, and other signs of wildlife. We learned about the delicate balance of the ecosystem and the importance of conservation.
In addition to the Kruger National Park, we also explored some of the surrounding areas. We visited a nearby rehabilitation centre where we met orphaned animals being cared for by dedicated staff. We also took a scenic drive along the Panorama Route, marvelling at the dramatic landscapes and stunning waterfalls.
Wrapping up
Our safari adventure came to an end with another helicopter flight, this time over the Blyde River Canyon. The canyon is a natural wonder, with towering cliffs, lush vegetation, and a meandering river. As we flew over the canyon, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and gratitude for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful place.
